JAMMU, June 6: Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) in Jammu conducted a pool campus placement drive for the students of YCET, MIET, IMS and the University of Jammu as part of its professional social responsibility which focuses on building a leading academic link for the students.
A placement drive for AVI Softwares and BYJU’S was conducted through YCET. AVI Softwares is a product engineering, technology and consulting services provider that partners with organizations to achieve business and digital transformation for them. Leveraging its cross-functional knowledge, deep sector expertise and wide-ranging specializations in fields including product engineering, digitization, hyper-automation, DevOps, cybersecurity and data science, the company’s mission is to fast-track innovation through each step of the value chain.
For AVI Softwares a total of 15 students were shortlisted for the first round. At the end of the grueling selection process, which included a written test, technical interview, etc, two students, namely Amit Kumar from YCET and Arun Kumar from MIET were selected. These students will join with the final annual package of 4 to 6 lakhs.
Also, a student from YCET, Firasha Mushtaq, got placed at BYJU’S with an annual package of 7 lakhs.
The program was conducted by the Placement Cell of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu. Many officials from the company and Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology were involved to properly drive the placement process.
Avinash Kumar- Director, AVI Softwares, Akanksha Mengi – HR, Sahil Sharma – QA and Ishfaq Dar – Software engineer hailed the efforts put by the college in nurturing and exploring the young minds for a better tomorrow.
Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions (JGEI), Jammu Chairman Er Vidhi S Singh Jamwal, Vice-Chairman Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Managing Director Er Renu Bangroo and Chief Coordinator Er B R Verma congratulated the selected students. The placement drive was coordinated by the HOD of CSE department and Assistant Training & Placement officer Er Manjula Sharma whereas the placement drive was organized by Er Dinesh Gupta, Head, Training and Placement Cell of YCET.
