JAMMU, Jan 15: J&K SC, ST & OBC Mahasabha today demanded immediate restoration of State status of J&K Union Territory.
The demand was raised during executive body meeting of the Mahasabha held today at Domana under the chairmanship of Bodh Raj Bhagat, president of Mahasabha.
The executive members also discussed various other issues plaguing the community like implementation of Mandal Commission report. They said BJP led Central Government did nothing in last about 6 years for the upliftment of people belonging to socially backward classes and now the party is going to start another ‘drama’ of door to door campaign in Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting urged all the members of the Mahsabha not to fell prey to BJP’s propaganda and stay united against the party which never allowed the socio-economic upliftment of the OBC community.
