Nutrition kits given to 100 TB patients

SAMBA, Sept 13: A significant health initiative was launched in Ramgarh block with the distribution of nutrition kits to 100 TB patients for a period of six months to support their recovery and overall well-being. The programme was a joint effort by Lupin Human Welfare and Research Foundation and the District Health Society.
The inaugural event was held in the presence of Dr. Jyoti Jolly, State TB Officer; Dr. Vidhi Bhatiyal, Chief Medical Officer Samba; Vishal Bangotra, Official from State TB Office and Girish Dash, Site Head of Lupin Limited, Jammu and Lupin employees.
The guests spoke passionately about the importance of nutritional support in TB treatment and the objectives of TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, a national campaign striving for a TB-free India.
The speakers also addressed the current TB situation in the region, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts between Government and private organizations to tackle the disease effectively.
As part of this initiative, Lupin Human Welfare and Research Foundation has been designated as a ‘Ni-Shak Mitra’ reinforcing its commitment to supporting TB patients through nutritional and community-based interventions.
The event was organized under the coordination of Johnson Kujur, Center Manager – CSR, Lupin Foundation and it saw active participation from Ashok Nanda, Sr. Treatment Supervisor TU Samba and Abhishek Singh Jamwal, senior treatment Supervisor TU-Ramgarh along with his dedicated team.
TB patients from the area attended the event and received nutrition kits containing essential food items and supplements to aid their recovery.
