JAMMU, Dec 9: J&K Nurses Association, Jammu today highlighted their demands in a meeting held in Government Medical College, Jammu.
The meeting was presided over by chairman of Nurses’ Association, GMC Jammu, Tripta Chib. President, Kashmir Nurses’ Association, Parveena Khan, Indu Kaul (SSH), Sushma (CD Hospital), Baljeet (SMGS Hospital) and many others participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the members discussed the long pending demands and issues being faced by the paramedical staff working in GMC Jammu. The main issues that were discussed include removal of grade disparity, creation of nursing cadre post, granting of nursing allowance, granting of uniform allowance and regularization of NSG officers working on contractual from past seven years.
The Association also stressed to establish departmental promotion committee to promote and confirm the nurses working in different categories of nursing unit and nursing education. Lastly all the leaders appealed Government to implement 7th Pay Commission and bring the nurses of Health and Medical Education at par with nurses of SKIMS and other States, as job description and work load is same in respect of grade and grade pay bands.
