JAMMU,  Jan 28:  The activists of National Trade Union Front (NTUF) held protest dharna near Press Club in support of pending demands of  the State Government employees and pensioners here today.
Members of the Front led by Mohd Gafoor Dar, State president held protest dharna for some time near Press Club and then sat on day long dharna at Exhibition Ground. They drew the attention of the  Government towards pending issues of the  employees including regularization of contractual workers/teachers,  framing of policy for their regularization, release of two installments of  17 % DA, remove pay anomalies, enhance Medical allowance, releasing of pending wages of ICDS, SWD, PHE, Irrigation, Soil Conservation and Floriculture workers/ employees.
While addressing rally Gafoor Dar condemned the delaying tactics of the State Government with regard to the settlement of pending issues of the employees. He said that most of the demands have already been agreed by the Government representatives but unfortunately despite written agreement, the same were not implemented. The Government miserably failed to provide justice to the employees, he alleged.
Mr Dar said the NTUF will wait for another two months (upto March 31,2015), failing which the Front members would come out to the streets and launch massive agitation.  Rajinder Kumar, S Vikramjit Singh, Raj Singh, Piran Ditta and  Moulvi Muneer also addressed the gathering.
