JAMMU, June 8: For peace in Jammu and Kashmir, National Students’ Union of India took out a candle light march, here this evening.
Organized by Avijoth Singh, State general secretary and led by Uday Bhanu Chib, NSUI national secretary, the march was carried out from Jammu University main gate to Bikram Chowk.  A number of NSUI activists and students took part in the march spreading the message of peace and brotherhood in the society.
Uday Chib, while addressing the participants, said that NSUI strongly opposes violence in any form. He also criticized PDP-BJP coalition Government for its failure to tackle the recent tense situation in Jammu region. He also urged the police authorities to deal with such situation in a human way and not to suppress the voice of common people by force.
Neeraj Kundan, State president NSUI, also accused the coalition Government of deviating from its developmental agendas and alleged that miseries of general public have multiplied. “The present Government exists only in press releases and TV channel programmes, not among public,” he said.
Avijoth Singh condemned the killing of Sikh youth in Police firing. He alleged that ever since the formation of   PDP-BJP Government, there has been a continuous injustice with the common people.
Others who took part in the march, included Raqeeq Khan,  Sunny Parihar,  Sahil Singh Langeh, Puneet Singh, Nadeem Mir, Abhishekh Dogra, Nishant Gupta and  Ranjodh Singh.
