JAMMU, June 19: National Secular Forum (NSF) has accused the Vice-Chancellor of Central University Jammu of tarnishing image of the institution by remaining failed on many frontal issues of varsity due to his inefficiency and ineffectiveness
Addressing a press conference, Dr Vikas Sharma, NSF President, said that the university failed to find a place in NIRF ranking due to slackness of incumbent VC. “While other universities of J&K managed to achieve ranking in the top 100 and 50 universities in the country, CUJ being run by a VC of the Management background could not even come closer to the ranking of other universities and failed miserably in NIRF indicators,” he said and alleged that even during the NAAC and AICTE visits to the CUJ campus, the same rooms were first shown as classrooms and then as faculty rooms and later laboratories by changing the boards.
NSF demanded immediate removal of the VC whose tenure has already expired, and appointment of the new/acting Vice Chancellor to save the prestigious institution.
