JAMMU, May 15: National Secular Forum (NSF), Jammu University Unit, today organized a programme on the campus wherein tribute were paid to Shaheed Sukhdev on his birth anniversary.
Ankush Abrol, Jammu Provincial Joint Secretary, JKNC and former Member BCCI, was the chief guest while Dr Vikas Sharma, Coordinator Jammu District and Zonal Secretary JKNC presided over the event.
Speaking on the occasion Ankush Abrol appreciated the initiative taken by the NSF member to remember the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country.
Dr Vikas Sharma said that the real tribute to the martyrs would be eradicating evils prevailing in the society like drug addiction. He exhorted the youth to refrain from drugs and intoxicants.
Vikshay Vashist, State Secretary NSF threw light on life of Shaheed Sukhdev and his supreme sacrifice for freedom of the country from British Raj.
Gourav Partap Singh, NSF President of JU unit, Abhishek Uppal, Chairman Jammu District unit also spoke on the occasion.
