NSA Ajit Doval, French counterpart Emmanuel Bonne hold 38th India-France Strategic Dialogue

NEW DELHI, Jan 13: National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and his French counterpart Emmanuel Bonne co-chaired the 38th India-France Strategic Dialogue in New Delhi today, during which they also reviewed preparations for the forthcoming visit to India of President of France Emmanuel Macron.
During the Strategic Dialogue, India and France reiterated their commitment to the strategic partnership. The two countries discussed ongoing bilateral initiatives spanning the domains of security, defence, technology, space, and civil nuclear cooperation. Opportunities were explored for joint-development and collaboration in the spirit of Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Discussions included the evolving geopolitical situation as well as regional and international issues of common concern. The two sides also reviewed preparations for the forthcoming visit to India of Emmanuel Macron, the President of France. Both sides underscored the importance of closer cooperation to address challenges in the global security environment, with the aim of advancing peace and stability, a statement said.
Bonne also met the External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During his meeting with Jaishankar, the two sides assessed the evolving Strategic Partnership and discussed contemporary global developments of mutual interest.
EAM Jaishankar said in a post on X: “A pleasure meeting Amb Emmanuel Bonne, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of France.
Exchanged views on further strengthening the India-France strategic partnership. Also discussed key takeaways from my recent visit to Paris and his engagements in Delhi.”
