JAMMU, Nov 9: Seeking a SIT probe into the alleged brutal murder of SC Cell Block president of Panthers Party in Kulwanta block of Ramnagar recently, a large number of Panthers Party activists led by Harsh Dev Singh, chairman NPP and other leaders held a protest demonstration at Exhibition Ground here today.
The agitated protesters sought immediate arrest of the criminals involved in the killing and demanded security cover for the party leadership who were being threatened by the goons owing allegiance to opposition parties.
Addressing the gathering, Harsh Dev said that the NPP leader was allegedly assassinated by the political opponents under a well hatched conspiracy. He said that the deceased Dharam Chand who was contesting the Sarpanch election from Lehar Panchayat of Kulwanta Block had visited the Tehsil office Ramnagar on October 30, 2018 in connection with fulfilment of necessary formalities for filing his nomination papers.
