Protesting NPP activists raised slogans against the Coalition Government of State and Centre for its wrong decision to release the stone pelters and claimed that situation of Kashmir is out of control and this decision may further worsen the situation of Valley.
While addressing the agitating protesters, ex-MLA and NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia made a scathing attack on BJP that when party was on opposition, its elected representatives and workers lodged protest in Assembly and come on roads on the release of single stone pelter. Unfortunately, BJP after assuming power in State, 4500 stone pelters have been released and last year 700 stone pelters were released and the incidents of stone pelting in last one and half year have increased many fold, Mankotia regretted.
Mankotia questioned the Central Government and State BJP leadership whether a single case registered on any security personnel have been withdrawn while every year thousands of cases registered against anti-national elements are withdrawn and released without any condition. He blamed that Central and State BJP Govt has knee down before separatists and stone pelters of Valley for petty interest to remain in power.
He blamed that cases registered against anti-national elements are criminal and heinous and without learning the past practice cases are withdrawn which may remain harmful for the situation of Kashmir and NPP will not tolerate such approach of the State and Central Government.
On this occasion, Dhani Ram Attri, Sunil Gudda, Naresh Kumar, Tirenter Singh, Sanjay Sharma, Amarnath Mehra, Banke Lal Sharma, Hem Raj, Harjeet Singh, Pawan Mehra and Sohni Rathore were present.
