JAMMU, Mar 24: Police arrested a notorious gangster, who was evading his arrest As per police sources, a police team led by SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and assisted by SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma and PSI Sonu choudhary conducted raid and apprehended a notorious gangster, who was at large since 1983.
The arrested person has been identified as Sham Singh alias Khanda, son of Angrez Singh of Satrayian Tehsil RS Pura District Jammu.
He was convicted in a case registered under FIR Number 116/1983 under Sections 302, 379 and 34RPC and was evading his arrest since 1983.
Sham Singh got absconding after he jumped his bail and subsequently court made convicted him in murder case.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
