DODA, Dec 30: By the orders of Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Police here today detained a notorious drug peddler under Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PITNDPS) Act.
A handout of Doda Police stated that Radhik Katoch, son of Mubarak Chand, resident of Khellani, Doda, an alleged habitual drug peddler, who was involved in multiple cases of NDPS Act, has been booked under (PITNDPS) for his active involvement in illicit drug trafficking and he was lodged in District Jail, Bhaderwah.
The offender was involved in multiple cases registered at different Police Stations of the district with FIR No. 13/2020 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act, Police Station Assar and FIR No. 46/2025 under NDPS Act, Police Station Doda stand registered against him.
Considering his repeated involvement in drug trafficking and continued criminal activities, his detention under PITNDPS was deemed necessary to prevent him from further indulging in illegal narcotics trade.
