JAMMU, Oct 10: A hardcore criminal involved in number of criminal cases including narcotic ones has been arrested and lodged in Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal Jammu.
A police party of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector, Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura, Surinder Singh, under the overall supervision of SP Hqrs, Ramnish Gupta apprehended a drug peddler Anoop Sharma son of Dilbagh Sharma of Lower Gadigarh area.
The detention warrant under Prevention of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act 1998 was issued against him by Divisional Commissioner Jammu in order to prevent him from further criminal activities.
The warrant was executed today and the accused has been lodged in Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal Jammu.
