RAJOURI, Sept 11: In a major action against drug trafficking, the Police have detained a notorious drug peddler under the PITNDPS Act.
The action was taken by Kandi Police, led by SHO Police Station Kandi, Inspector Rajveer Singh, under the supervision of SDPO Kandi Budhal, DySP Shammi Kumar. The accused has been identified as Mohd Younis, son of Shamas Din, resident of Dhar Sakri, Tehsil Kotranka, district Rajouri. He has been found involved in multiple cases of drug peddling and has been a persistent offender in the region.
Taking cognizance of his continuous involvement in such illegal activities, the competent authority issued detention orders under the PITNDPS Act. Acting upon these orders, Rajouri Police lodged the accused in Jammu Jail.
