JAMMU, Apr 13: Gharota Police arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, during checking, a team from Police Station Gharota led by SHO Inspector Khayati Maan Khajuria arrested a notorious drug peddler along with heroin like substance.
The arrested person was identified as Gulshan Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar of Janipur, at present Kot tehsil Bhalwal.
Pertinent to mention here that the same person was earlier booked in cases registered under FIR Numbers 21/2021 under Sections 332 and 34 IPC and FIR Number 24/2019 under Section 8/20/21/22 NDPS Act with Police Station Gharota. There were reports of him being involved in sale of drugs in Jammu and was evading police.
A fresh case under FIR Number 26/2021 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gharota and investigation started.
