UDHAMPUR, July 30: Police arrested a notorious drug peddler and seized 10 grams heroin from his possession.
The accused identified as Krishan Lal alias Lundi of Ward number 9, Ramnagar, was apprehended near Radha Swami Satsang Bhawan, Ramnagar, during a naka, led by SHO Ramnagar, Jaswinder Singh, under the supervision of SDPO Jagdev Singh Slathia and Addl SP Rajinder Katoch. During his personal search, 10 grms of heroine like substance was recovered from him.
In this connection, a case FIR number 81/2019, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Ramnagar and further investigation of the case is taken up.
According to SSP Udhampur, Rajiv Pandey, the accused was arrested on some reliable information regarding his key role in smuggling of narcotic substance. He did not rule out arrests of more suspects on disclosure of the accused.
