KATRA, Sept 23: In its continued drive against drug menace, police team at Naka Panthal, under Police Post Kakryal, apprehended a notorious narcotics peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
The accused, identified as Ajay Singh, son of Rattan Lal, resident of Panthal, Tehsil Katra, was intercepted while riding a Yamaha SZR motorcycle bearing Chassis No. ME11PN039C2050826 and Engine No. 1PM3050964. On thorough checking, four grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, FIR number 263/2025 , under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and investigation has been set into motion. It is pertinent to mention that the arrested person is a notorious drug peddler and has already been facing trial in two previous NDPS cases registered at P/S Katra.
