UDHAMPUR, June 3: Police today arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered heroin like substance from his possession.
The accused, identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Yash Paul, resident of Ossu Pakhlai, presently putting up Sambal Udhampur, was apprehended by a Police party during naka checking at Roundomail, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Udhampur..
Upon conducting his thorough frisking, police team recovered 3.68 grams of heroin like contraband substance from his possession, following which he was arrested.
A case vide FIR No. 197/2025 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered in this connection at P/S Udhampur and further investigation was initiated.
