REASI, Dec 11: District Police Reasi arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered 6.25 grams of heroin-like substance from him.
Acting on a specific information, team of Police Station Reasi laid a surprise naka at Rishi Chowk and intercepted notorious drug peddler Altaf Ahmed, son of Late Ghulam Ahmed Malik, resident of Ward No. 7, Muslim Mohalla, Reasi while he was travelling on black Scooty bearing registration number JK20C-3123 from Sula towards Reasi.
During frisking, Police recovered 6.25 grams of heroin like substance from his possession. He was arrested on the spot and a case FIR under NDPS Act has been registered against him at Police Station Reasi.
