Notorious criminal held with sharp-edged weapon

JAMMU, May 23: An alleged notorious criminal has been arrested with a sharp-edged weapon from Marathi Mohalla area here, police said.
Lakshay Kumar of Bawe Wali Gali, Gujjar Nagar, Jammu, who was wanted in several weapons-related cases, was apprehended by the patrolling party of Police Station Bahu Fort from Marathi Mohalla near Pully on May 22, they said.
The recent arrest was made in connection with FIR number 165/2025 under section 4/25 Arms Act registered at Police Station Bahu Fort, police said.
According to them, a sharp-edged weapon has also been recovered from the possession of the accused.
Pertinently, the arrest was made by a team of Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO concerned, Inspector Rajesh Jasrotia under the supervision of SDPO City City East Sheezan Bhat and SP South Ajay Sharma, with overall supervision of SSP Jammu Joginder Singh.
