SAMBA, Apr 8:As a part of continuous drive launched against the habitual offenders/notorious criminal by the district police Samba under the directions of SSP Samba, Anil Magotra, a police party of PS Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur in collaboration with DSB Samba under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur achieved a major success in arresting a notorious criminal namely Vikas Salathia alias Vicky S/o Ravinder Singh R/o Gurha Morh, Vijaypur, who was found to be involved in number of criminals cases.
Police said that he had not only created multifarious law and order problems but his activities have also attributed to the disturbance of peace and tranquility in the area. He has been evading arrest in a latest criminal case FIR Nos. 14/2017 U/S 307/RPC, 3/25 A. Act of PS Vijaypur, the investigation of which is underway, police added.
Soon after his arrest District Police Samba with a view to put an end to his prejudicial activities, complied all the record of Vikas Salathia from Police Station Vijaypur, prepared his dossier and got issued warrant against him under Public Safety Act (PSA) from District Magistrate Samba and the same has been got executed today and he was lodged in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
