RAJOURI, Jan 3: Continuing its strict action against notorious and habitual criminals in District Rajouri, the police booked a notorious criminal under Public Safety Act (PSA).
An official spokesman said that a team of Police Station Thanmandi led by SHO, Inspector Hilal Azhar under the supervision SDPO Thannamandi, Parupkar Singh has arrested one notorious criminal. He has been identified as Basharat Mehmood, son of Mohd Kabir, resident of Nerojal, Tehsil Thanamandi in Rajouri.
His detention warrant under PSA was issued by Competent authority and has been executed by team of District Rajouri Police.
It is pertinent to mention here that accused has a criminal history involving more than 35 cases of burglary and theft in UT of J&K and other states including Himachal Pradesh.
