JAMMU, Oct 17: Kanachak Police apprehended a notorious criminal from the Kanachak area and booked him under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA).
The accused has been identified as Shamma, son of Ali Gohier, resident of Rajpura Mandi, tehsil Marh, district Jammu. He was found repeatedly involved in criminal activities, including cattle theft, offences under the NDPS Act, and other criminal cases. Multiple FIRs stand registered against him for his continued unlawful activities.
The PSA warrant against the accused was executed by PSI Sohail Munir of Police Station Kanachak. Police said that with this, a total of five PSA warrants have been executed in the Rural Zone this year—four against bovine smugglers and one under PIT NDPS against a drug smuggler.
