Notorious criminal arrested with heroin, sharp edged weapon

*2 ladies arrested for attacking cops

JAMMU, June 22: Miran Sahib and Border Police Post (BPP) Kullian Police jointly arrested a notorious criminal along with heroin and sharp edged weapon. However, mother and wife of the accused were also arrested for attacking cops on duty.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq and assisted by Incharge BPP Kullian ASI Ranjeet Singh laid a naka and intercepted a without registration number motorcycle.
During checking, police team recovered around 6 grams heroin and a sharp edged weapon from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Tejinder Singh alias Happy, son of Mohinder Singh, a resident of Ward Number 4 Simbal Camp District Jammu. In the meantime, two ladies namely Gurvinder Kaur (mother of accused), wife of Paramjeet Singh and Jasvir Kaur, wife of Mohinder Singh, both residents of Ward Number 4 Simbal Camp reached at naka and attacked on police party on duty.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused is a notorious criminal and various criminal cases stands registered against him.
A case under FIR Number 62/2022 under Sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act, 4/25 Arms Act and 353 and 332 IPC has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
The arrest and recovery were made under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and SP Headquarters Jammu Ramneesh Gupta.
