KATRA, May 29: Police apprehended a notorious criminal and recovered a sharp edged weapon from his possession, here today.
The accused, identified as Bablu Sharma, son of Des Raj of Akhnoor, Bablu Sharma has previously been involved in multiple serious criminal cases, including FIR No. 32/2020 under sections 307/341/323/147/382/125 IPC, FIR No. 03/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of NDPS Act and FIR No. 199/2024 under sections 109/191(2) BNS & 4/25 Arms Act. All these cases have already been challaned before the court of law.
Arresting the accused, Police has registered FIR No. 153/2025 U/S 4/25 Arms Act at Police Station Katra. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
The whole operation was led by SHO Katra, Khyatimaan Khajuria, under the supervision of SDPO Katra Dr Bhishm Dubey.
