JAMMU, Jan 12: A notorious cattle lifter was arrested and later booked under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) in Domana area here today.
A police official said that Mohammad Mansha alias Gunnu of Raipur Jagir Bhadhrote, Tehsil Jammu West, District Jammu, was wanted in several cases registered against him at Police Stations Janipur, Domana, Jhajjar Kotli, Bari Brahamana and Nagrota, for his involvement in multiple cases of cattle lifting, bovine smuggling and bovine thefts.
His repeated involvement in these crimes was hurting the sentiments of a particular community, he said.
An arrest warrant was also issued against the accused by the competent authorities which got executed today by a team of incharge Border Police Post (BPP) Sandwan, PSI Nitish Khajuria under the supervision of SHO Domana, SDPO Domana and SP Jammu Rural Brijesh Kumar Sharma, added the police official.
