SRINAGAR, Mar 7: Markets reopened and traffic was back to normal with people resuming their daily routines across Kashmir today as authorities lifted restrictions that were imposed after the killing of Iran’s Supreme leader, Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei.

Shops and business establishments reopened after six days this morning and public and private transport was normal.
The 5G internet services and prepaid mobile phone calling facilities across Kashmir was restored last evening. The services were suspended as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of provocative content. Click here to watch video
Educational activities are also set to resume from Monday. Schools and colleges, which were ordered to remain closed until March 7 and will reopen on Monday.
All examinations scheduled up to Saturday were postponed by the authorities. Officials from Kashmir University and the Central University of Kashmir confirmed that revised dates for the pending exams will be announced shortly.
