JAMMU, Jan 9: Central Non Gazetted Electrical Employees Union held a demonstration at Press Club here today in support of the various demands of the PDD and PDC employees.
The protestors accused the administration of playing dilly dally tactics to cause undue harassment to the poor employees of the department who have utilized their golden years in serving in the department at the risk and cost of their lives and without the availability of any proper safety measures.
The protestors said that the PDD authorities have published the lists of need based employees after their proper verification. Despite this all the wages of these employees were not released till date due to which these poor employees have been put into a lot of problem.
The protestors alleged that lists were not forwarded to the concerned DDOs for release of wages in favour of these employees.
They said that the MD PDC has made an agreement with the Union that the daily wagers will be regularized by December 31 last year but to no avail.
The protestors demanded that directives be issued to all DDOs to forward the list of need based employees to the higher authorities, clarify the status of Rs 6.50 crore which was released by the Government for disbursement of wages of favour of 1791 need based employees lying with Planning Department, warned against closure of wages head of the Daily wagers who were regularized by PDD recently, convening the DPC of all cadres for regularization, release of pending arrears of daily wagers, release of DA installment due form July 2013, enhancement of Medical claim to Rs 1000, enhancement of retirement age to 60 and removal of pay anomalies of all clerical cadres.
