RAMBAN, July 5: Search operation to locate the missing Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Jal Shakti Department (JSD) here today entered Day two.

The joint search teams of Police, SDRF, CISF and local volunteers have intensified the search operation on the banks of river Chenab, Khowbagh, Seri and other areas where from the river Chenab flows.
Reportedly, the AEE Parvaiz Ahmad Wani went missing under mysterious circumstances on Friday morning and the locals along with authorities suspect that he might have accidentally fallen into the river.
Wani, son of Gulam Qadir, resident of Alinbass, at present Maitra, Ramban left his home to attend his duty but his private car bearing registration number JK19-9579 was found parked near Julla Bridge over river Chenab on Ramban-Maitra link road. Since then his whereabouts were not known.
When Wani did not returned home for lunch, his family and relatives started searching him and when they got no clue about him, they lodged a missing complaint at Police Station Ramban.
On getting information, Ramban Police, SDRF and local volunteers launched a search operation to trace the missing person in various areas of Ramban town.
Family sources said that Wani was suffering from depression since last few days.
Private car of the missing AEE was found abandoned on Ramban-Maitra link road near river Chenab.
SHO Ramban, Vikram Parihar said that efforts are on to trace out the missing officer and messages were sent to other Police Stations also.
However, till last reports no success was achieved during the search operation.
