JAMMU, Mar 21: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K Unit has claimed that some unknown people in Police uniform smashed the hoarding installed at their office late last night for which they have lodged a written police complaint.
Addressing a press conference here today Shiv Sena J&K chief, Manish Sahni said J&K is a highly sensitive place where terrorism remained active for the last three and a half decades.
“Shiv Sena is probably the only active political party in J&K whose leaders have not been provided any security,” he claimed adding: “During 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Shiv Sena had filed its candidates on both the Lok Sabha seats of Jammu division.”
Sahni said that during campaign his party leaders always face terror threat but the administration has not taken a cognisance of this.
“On March 9, Police in Srinagar stopped us from interacting with public and late last night the hoarding of our party founder, Bala Saheb Thackeray was demolished at roof of our party office in Indira Chowk, Ranbir Yatri Bhawan,” he maintained.
Shiv Sena general secretary, Vikas Bakshi; vice president, Sanjeev Kohli and others were also present in the press conference.
