Srinagar, May 27: The State Government today said due to lack of alternate land in the vicinity it has no proposal under consideration for shifting of paramilitary CRPF Camp from Zainkote in HMT area on city outskirts.
In a written reply to a question of MLA Noor Mohammad Sheikh in Lower House, the Minister Incharge Home, said under the alternate accommodation programme of Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, the Police Department is constructing accommodations for relocation of security force personnel housed in Government and private establishments but non- availability of land is an impediment in the completion of the project.
“There is no private or Government land available in the vicinity for shifting 44th Battalion Headquarters which is presently housed in Zainkote HMT (Industrial Area).
