No package minus homeland will be acceptable: PK

JAMMU, Oct 30: Panun Kashmir (PK) in its meeting here today under the chairmanship of Kuldeep Raina its general secretary said that return package minus carving out of separate homeland for the minority Pandits as per the Margdarshan resolution of 1991 was not acceptable to it.
The meeting said that PK is committed to establishment of separate homeland for Kashmiri Hindus in the Valley, comprising the regions of the Valley to the East and North of river Jehlum where the Constitution of India is applied in letter and spirit and where there are no barriers of Article 370 in order to ensure right to life, liberty, freedom of expression, faith, equality and rule of law.
Mr Raina in his address while appealing the community to accelerate the struggle for the homeland said that Pandits will not return to Valley at mercy of majority community and they want to lead an independent life as patriotic Indians free from any threat and fear.
He said that the homeland be placed under Central administration with UT status till it evolves its won economic and political infrastructure.
He said all the seven lakh Kashmiri Hindus including those who have been driven out of Kashmir in the past and yearn to return to their homeland and those who were forced to leave on account of the terrorist violence in Kashmir be settled in homeland on equitable basis with dignity and honour.
The meeting also chalked out the programme for celebrating the Homeland Day falling on December 28.
Pt O N Trisal, veteran freedom fighter and member Advisory Committee PK exhorted the entire KP community to reinforce their strength for nationalistic cause by taking PK’s movement to its logical conclusion.
D K Kaul, Rajesh Bhagati, S K Gadoo, Sunil Raina, Chand Ji Pandita, M K Dhar, Ajay Khosa, Bal Ji Marhatta , Satish Sher, Prof M L Tiku, B L Koul and Pran Raina were among others who attended the meeting.
