No one to be spared in Ashok Kharat case: Fadnavis

NAGPUR, March 29: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, while speaking at the police duty meet held in Nagpur today, commented on the Ashok Kharat case and made it clear that no one involved will be spared.
He said that this is a very serious matter and the state government is closely monitoring the investigation.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed and is carrying out a detailed probe, while the Director General of Police (DGP) is personally supervising the investigation, he said.
Fadnavis further stated that several victims are coming forward in connection with the case and the government is committed to ensuring justice for all of them.
He assured that strict action will be taken against the accused, regardless of their political affiliations.
He also accused some people of trying to politicize this sensitive issue.
Meanwhile, the police have collected substantial evidence in the case and the scope of the investigation has been expanded.
The SIT has reportedly written to various departments seeking details related to financial transactions, property and other relevant aspects.
