JAMMU, June 17: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has urged upon the Prime Minister to hold a conclave of Chief Ministers of all the States to discuss the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission (PC) recommendations in all the States simultaneously and uniformly adding that as such the proposed conclave should also decide funding aspect as well once for all.
Addressing a largely attended NMC workers meet here, NMC president, Subhash Shastri, said that as per past experience the employees of the State Governments and pensioners resort agitation path to get Central Pay Commission report implemented in respective States, which he said, not only creates bad taste but involves more wastage of time and energy of salaried class.
While appreciating Prime Minister for his progressive and pro working class policies, Shastri also hailed the announcement of the minimum wages of daily rated workers to Rs 10,000 per month and emphasized the need to notify this decision of the Central Government immediately for all States and Union Territories.
Pleading the genuine cause of 61, 000 daily rated workers working in various departments of the State Government, Shastri reminded PM to implement the commitment made by the top leadership of BJP in his presence during the last Parliamentary and State Assembly elections to regularize the services of these daily rated workers, if party voted to the power.
NMC Chief further demanded total exemption of Dearness Allowance for the ambit income tax as DA is directly linked with price hike and inflation but it was strange that the income tax is also imposed on the increase of the salaries because of DA.
