“While this inspection is a positive step, the Samiti’s phased agitation will proceed according to its strategy until all demands are fully accepted,” said Colonel Sukhvir Singh Mankotia, Convener of the Sangharsh Samiti, while addressing a press conference at Geeta Bhawan, Jammu on Sunday.
Sharing the roadmap for upcoming programs, he announced that the Samiti’s youth wing will protest in front of the Secretariat on January 6, followed by a demonstration by the Matrushakti (women’s wing) on January 8, and the participation of veterans from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Police on January 10. He issued a stern warning to the administration that if a decision in the public interest is not taken soon, a “Chakka Jam” will be organized at every district headquarters, eventually leading to a call for a complete Jammu Bandh. He also mentioned that Leader of Opposition (LoP) Sunil Sharma is expected to visit the Sangharsh Samiti office to present the BJP’s perspective.
