Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Nov 15: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) president, Subash Shastri had demanded merger of 50 percent Dearness Allowance (DA) and payment of 20 percent interim relief in favour of both Central as well as all State Government employees and pensioners till the 8th Pay Commission submits its final report to the Government.
In three separate memorandums sent to the 8th Pay Commission Chairman, Justice Rajana Parkash Desai; Pankaj Jain, Member Secretary and Pulak Ghosh, Part Time Member of the CPC, Subash Shastri claimed that high prices of day-to-day goods has made it difficult for the Government employees and pensioners to afford even the basic commodities in their lives.
He said that a calendar of meetings with representatives of Central Government employees and pensioner organizations, States Governments and all others concerned should be drawn up so that recommendations of the 8th Central Pay Commission are simultaneously implemented in favour of both Central/States Governments employees and pensioners.
