JAMMU, Mar 5: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) president, Subash Shastri here today demanded hike in Medical Allowance from Rs. 300 to Rs. 1000 per month as per the norm of UT administrations throughout the country.
Addressing NMC workers during a meet Shastri said that announcement in this regard should be made in the current budget session of J&K while presenting the Budget.
The NMC leader also demanded an increase of 2 per cent housing rent in favour of J&K employees as the DA has crossed 50 per cent.
His other demands were release of 4 per cent DA due from January 1, 2025 besides merging 50 per cent DA with pension and pay.
Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Ram Singh, Anil Gupta, Ramesh Sharma, Chaman Lal, Birbal, Raman Sharma, Vinod Kumar, Sukhdev Singh, Subash Sharma and Ram Lal Sharma were also present in the meeting.
