JAMMU, May 13: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) President, Subash Shastri today appealed to the Governor administration to consider the demands of State pensioners and employees for enhancing medical allowance from Rs. 300 to Rs. 3000 per month.
Addressing NMC workers meeting here today Shastri hoped that the Governor administration would look into the matter and concede to the demand relating to medical allowance.
He also urged the Governor administration to immediately order allotting separate wage head in each department in the backdrop of announcements regarding regularization of daily rated workers so that several thousand daily rated workers working in the various departments may get their monthly salary regularly.
Other demands discussed on this occasion were demand of setting up of National Wage Commission, enhancing wages of daily rated workers to Rs. 500 per day, removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre and releasing of all pending wages of daily rated workers working in various departments.
Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Ram Singh, Sudesh Bhagat, Bodh Raj were also present in the meeting.
