JAMMU, Feb 21: NIS trounced SAI in close contest by five points in the final match of Inter-club Kho-Kho Tournament and lifted the title trophy, here today.
DDC Akhnoor, Shardha Bhau was the chief guest, whereas SP Puri, owner of Calliope College of Education Akhnoor was the guest of honour. They handed over trophies and medals among the winning and runner-up teams.
The dignitaries of the event encouraged the players and said that such type of activities along with education is must for healthy environment. Senior vice president JKKKA, SBS Tirthi, general secretary, Harjeet Singh, Ajay Gupta coach Sports Council, Satpal Singh Football coach, Dheeraj Sharma, Tarmeet Shenu and Palbinder Singh were also present during the event.
The matches were officiated by Amrinder Pal Singh, Lakhwinder Singh, Gagan Kumar, Shibali Bhau, Priya Kumari and Shashi.
