Rajouri beats Kathua in finals of Volleyball girls tourney

DODA, Feb 21: District Rajouri trounced District Kathua by 3-0 sets in the final match of UT level Inter-District Volleyball tournament of under-14 girls, played at Boys Higher Secondary School, here today.
The hosting district got 2nd place by defeating District Kulgam by 2-1 sets.
In the first semi-final Pool-A matches, District Kathua beat District Doda by 2-0 sets, whereas in 2nd semi-finals match Pool-B, District Rajouri trounced District Kulgam by 2-0 sets.
The final match was played between District Rajouri and District Kathua wherein District Rajouri won the match with 3-0 sets.
The tournament was organized under the overall supervision of District Youth Services & Sports Officer Doda, Jaffar Haider Sheikh.
Additional Superintendent Police (ASP) Doda Master Popsy was the chief guest while District Information Officer, Mohd Ashraf Wani was the guest of honour of the concluding function, whereas DYSSO Doda, Jaffar Haider Sheikh, ZPEO Bhalla Pritam Singh and I/C ZPEO Doda, Kishori Lal were also present on the occasion.
The cultural programme was presented by the students during the concluding ceremony.
Later, the chief guest and guest of honour presented trophies and certificates to winning and runner-up teams.
