BUDHI, Dec 21: A voluntary blood donation camp was organized here today by Sant Nirankari Mission at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan Budhi, Kathua.
A total of 100 units of blood were donated by the volunteers during the camp which was inaugurated by Rajiv Jasrotia, MLA.
While speaking on the occasion, the MLA appreciated Sant Nirankari Mission for organizing the blood donation camps across the country for several years with a deep sense of service and dedication.
He appreciated Sant Nirankari Mission and assured his complete support and cooperation to the Mission whenever required.
Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge Jammu delivered the welcome address and said that the camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from volunteers and donors.
Vijay Kumar, Mukhi branch Budhi presented vote of thanks.
Others presented on the occasion were Dr Surinder Attri, Principal Government Medical College (GMC) Kathua, Dr Deepakshi GMC Jammu, Babu Ram Sanyojak, Tarsem Lal, Mukhi Muthi and Satpal Nirankari, Khetriya Sanchalak Kathua.
The blood collection was managed professionally with full safety and medical supervision by two teams, one team from Blood & Transfusion Department of GMC Jammu under the supervision of Dr Deepakshi, second team from GMC, Kathua, led by Dr. Kavita.
