Nirankari Mission organises blood donation camp

SAMBA, July 20: Sant Nirankari Mission organized a Voluntary blood donation camp here today at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Samba.
The event witnessed active participation from Mission’s volunteers from Samba, Ghagwal and Rajpura and a total of 134 units of blood were donated by the volunteers.
The camp was inaugurated by Rajesh Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Samba, who said, “blood donation saves lives and I personally consider that Sant Nirankari Mission is a pioneer in the field of voluntary blood donation across the country.”
Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge Jammu said, “This initiative is part of Mission’s ongoing commitment to serve the humanity through social works like blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, tree plantations etc.”
K.C Bhagat, Sanyojak Samba delivered welcome address.
The team of Blood Transfusion Department of Government Medical College Jammu under the supervision of Dr. Salve and Dr. Rajat along with a team from District Hospital, Samba helped to ensure the successful camp.
Those who were present on the occasion were Labbu Ram, Sarpanch, Satpal Nirankari, Kshetriya Sanchalak Kathua and Bodh Raj, Sanchalak Samba.
