JAMMU, Mar 29: With the objective of spreading the message that ‘Blood should flow in veins, not in drains’, Sant Nirankari Mission here today organized a blood donation camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, R.S Pura.
Arnia, Miran Sahib and Sai Kalan branches of the Mission also participated enthusiastically in the camp and extended their full support.
The camp was inaugurated by Zonal In-Charge of Sant Nirankari Mission, Ajit Singh who highlighted that the Mission organizes around 500 blood donation camps every year, collecting approximately 50,000 units of blood making it one of the leading voluntary blood donations organizations in the world.
A handout stated that so far Sant Nirankari Mission has contributed more than 1.4 million units of blood to save the human lives.
Sanyojak, RS Pura, Tara Singh delivered the welcome address and also the vote of thanks.
The camp was organized in collaboration with Blood Transfusion Department of Government Medical College, Jammu under the supervision of Dr. Naveen Akhtar.
