JAMMU, Feb 14: Ranjit College of Education Jammu, in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture & Languages (JKAACL) and Punjabi Likhari Sabha Tral, organized a book release function at the seminar hall of Ranjit College of Education, Jammu today, where a Punjabi book ‘Itihaas De Kujh Saakshi Panne’, authored by eminent educationist Principal Niranjan Singh was released.
Senior journalist & Consulting Editor, NDTV, Pradeep Dutta, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while prominent Punjabi writer Ajit Singh Mastana presided over the function. Dr Harbakash Singh, DDC Tral also graced the dais. A large number of teachers, intellectuals, scholars and prominent personalities attended the function.
Dr Manmeet Singh, Chairman, Ranjit College of Education, acknowledged the efforts of the author for choosing such an important historical theme, which he termed as the need of the hour.
A detailed paper on the book was presented by Dr Harsimran Singh. Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, in his address, threw light on the content of the book and elaborated upon the life and contributions of Niranjan Singh towards society and the community. Dr Joginder Singh Shan also shared his old associations and experiences with the author.
Niranjan Singh, in his address, shared memories of his life journey, struggles and experiences. He also highlighted the inspiration and support he received from his family and summed up the core ideas presented in the book.
Pradeep Dutta shared his detailed viewpoint on the released book. He highlighted the relevance of such historical works in the present times.
In his presidential address, Ajit Singh Mastana expressed his views about the personality of Niranjan Singh and remarked that he has rendered remarkable services to the Panth and the society.
Dr Harbakash Singh, DDC Tral and Popinder Singh Paras, Chief Editor, Sheeraza Punjabi (JKAACL), also expressed their views on the book.
