BALASORE: The nuclear-capable medium range surface to surface ”Prithvi-II” missile was successfully flight tested from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur on sea, on the Orissa Coast today.
ITR sources said user night trial of Prithivi II missile, having a range of 350 km, was test fired at around 7.30 pm from LC III. The ballistic missile is capable of carrying both conventional as well as nuclear warheads up to 1000 KG.
The last user night trial of the missile too was successfully carried out from the same base on September 23 at 0815 hrs and 0915 hrs respectively. (AGENCIES)
