NEW DELHI, Apr 21: Amid a weak trend in the spot markets on subdued domestic demand, nickel fell 0.62 per cent to Rs 1,076.60 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in April shed Rs 6.70 paise, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 1,076.60 per kg in a business turnover of 815 lots.
The metal for delivery in May also fell by Rs 6.80, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 1,083.10 per kg in a turnover of 74 lots.
Analysts said the fall in nickel prices at futures trade was mostly in tandem with a weakening trend in the domestic spot markets due to subdued demand from alloy-makers. (PTI)
