JAMMU, Mar 12: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today conducted raids at three places including houses of two terror operatives in the border district of Poonch in connection with recoveries of arms, explosives and ammunition.

While no official statement was issued by the NIA in connection with raids, sources said the NIA teams searched two houses of Mohd Feroz at Khorinar Mohalla in Poonch and Hari, Surankot; and residence of Feroz Din at Mohalla Radio Station in Poonch.

The NIA sleuths conducted searches in all three houses for quite some time since the morning and seized some documents and equipments.
However, no further arrests were made during the searches.
Sources said the case pertained to 2024 when security forces made recoveries including arms, ammunition and explosives. The case was subsequently handed over to the NIA.
Both the accused, whose houses were searched today, turned out to be terror operatives and were working for the terror outfits.
They were involved in transporting arms, ammunition and explosives from the Line of Control (LoC) to other parts for use by the terrorists.
Further investigations in the case are already being conducted by the NIA.
