NHPC gives food packets for tuberculosis patients

JAMMU, Jan 3: NHPC Regional Office, Jammu distributed 1500 nutritious food packets for tuberculosis patients of Jammu Division at District Tuberculosis Centre, Jammu.
These food packets were distributed under NHPC’s CSR & SD scheme and the initiative was carried out in association with the Directorate of Health Services, Jammu.
A handout stated that the food packets were distributed to tuberculosis patients under National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) wherein the food packets were given to the representatives from various TB centers across the Jammu division.
The distribution was carried out by Satnam Singh, General Manager (Civil), NHPC RO, Jammu and Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, Director, Directorate of Health Services, Jammu.
Dr. Harbaksh Singh, CMO, Jammu, Dr. Jyoti Jolly, State Tuberculosis Officer, Jammu, Dr. Kusum Gupta, Dr. Bindu Mahajan and other NHPC officials also participated in the event.
On this occasion, Ram Swaroop, Executive Director, NHPC Regional Office, Jammu, said that NHPC works for the welfare of the people through its CSR scheme. Satnam Singh, General Manager (Civil), stated that NHPC, through the State Tuberculosis Department, has arranged nutritious food packets for TB patients with the hope that this nutritious diet will help them recover from the disease as early as possible.
Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar appreciated NHPC’s initiative in providing the food packets and appealed to everyone to support this noble cause and cooperate in eradicating this disease.
These food packets will be distributed to TB patients through various TB centers in Jammu division.
