SRINAGAR, May 30: The National Health Mission Employees’ Association (NHMEA) today urged the Government to take a view on regularization policy and social security measures, like EPF for all NHM staff.
Abdul Rauoof, chief spokesperson of NHMEA, in a joint statement issued here with president Muneer Andrabi expressed gratitude to Financial Commissioner H&ME Atal Dulloo and Mission Director NHM J&K Mohammad Yasin Choudhary in getting additional funds from NPCC Delhi for the year 2021-2022.
They said the officers personally along with their teams made all possible efforts in Delhi to get the approval accorded. “We are indebted to them for the effort”, he said, adding that the approval will take them one step further towards pay parity on the ‘equal work – equal pay’ principle which is their long-standing demand.
The Association hoped that the rationalization exercise is done scientifically with the employees’ representatives kept in the loop. “We hope the injustices met out in the past are corrected. Transparency holds the key in ensuring nobody faces injustice”. They hoped that that this time along with pay parity, the Government will takes a view on regularization policy and social security measures for all.
Andrabi and Rauoof also sought ex-gratia relief for the employees who have died in harness since the inception of the Mission for which. “The funds for same had been allotted the last financial year 2020-2021 and we hope the disbursal is made as early as possible,” they added.
